Headlight Jets

Post by benny oopz »

Hi all.

This is my 1st post, but must say great site with lots of useful info and great posts by all you guys.

Anyway, when I spray my windscreen, my washer jets will sometimes come on and sometimes ........ not.

I thought this had something to do with when ice was indicated in the dash, but they sometimes come one when it's not.

Does anyone know when they're triggered or if I have a problem?

(This is probably in black and white in my manual, so excuse my laziness).

Cheers

They only come on when the headlights are switched on, and you spray the windscreen. Welcome to the forum!

If you're on about the headlight washer's as the title says, the only time they spray is when the headlights are on, if they don't spray and you have got the headlights on, then check your water level.

If it's the windscreen washers, again check your water level, if that's ok then I don't know mate.

Hope that answers your question.

Yeah, they don't seem to always spray when the lights are on.

I'll check my water level, but it should be pretty healthy.

Thanks guys.

Mine has an ice sysbol on the outside tempreture gauge, you get a little * when it get down to about 2degree.

The headlight washers will stop working
when the washer fluid level falls below a certain level,
however the windscreen will continue to work until empty.

I find that my fluid level drops dramatically with the headlight washers.

Hope this helps.

Say's INSP where the millage would be :p

The ESP light could be showing a fault or like you say, during ignition and would be going out
