I would have to agree too. I mean, you just need to look at the evidence.

I was thinking about doing this. If you already have the computer (MFA) then the wires will be there, if not could be a massive task adding looms and sensors etc.

However, I quite like the little display with all the warning symbols!

I guess it's personal choice, saying that in a year or so I’ll probably do it

Today I have taken my Polo to the dealer becouse the indicator noise or any other sound form the dash-board have gone. (look at this topic: http://www.tigerstyle.co.uk/poloforum/v ... php?t=1806)

So they told me they will probably have to change the entire dash-board, so I asked if they could replace it with one with the full MFA! They told me they'll try!! :D I hope they'll be able to do so, becouse i LOVE the full MFA!!

I'll let you know If they succeed! I also think that it should be possible becouse I have the small MFA so all the sensors and wires are still there, don't you think?

there's just a complete board with the matrix display and the chrom rings on german ebay. The auction will end tomorrow, its only 20 pounds at the moment and he's even shipping to the UK. I checked that guys feedback... all he's doing is selling dash-boards for all kinds of VWs..

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 2455291477

oh that sounds so interesting. Actually I'd just need that "stick" to control the display, and the keys have to be recoded, and the dash-board has to be replaced, obvioulsy. As far as I know there's not more work involved...

But still I don't dare doing such a "big" thing, mainly because I don't dare changing the parts by myself, and I am quite sure that the local VW dealer would charge a lot and won't work careful. I'd do it if I trusted my dealer.

I hope I won't regret not buying it..

Sorry to burst your bubble old bean, the speedo is in kilometres and the MFA readouts will be for a euro market so fuel consumption will be in litres and not gallons. Your range will also be in kilometres.

:(

Two problems there:

1) That instrument cluster is for 1.4 models
2) Most obviously, its in KMPH

Interesting bidder history there Dan. Why would you buy MK3 Golf Lexus clusters for a 9n though?

That instrument cluster is not for a 1.2 engine code, lets just say its my sixth sense...

Also, since when did UK cars come with KMPH instrument clusters? I pressume (or hope, rather) yours didn't. So how can it be 'right'?
