I always thought they were stupid.

Right until I got a massive stone chip on the leading edge of my bonnet which is going to need spraying.

Though to be honest that "invisible bra" clear coating stuff is probably better anyway.

I like the idea of them tbh

Much better than having to get people to avoid looking at stone chips on your bonnet at shows

When you take it off and all that grit and dirt has got under it and put minor swirl/scratch marks in the paint are you still gonna be happy.

Yeah i got two views on this absolute genious idea from stopping the stone chips etc

but the trouble is wen u take it off, may be dirt or similar underneath n if u have had it on there for a while then u may find some color fade n end up with two tone color bonnet which is always useful :x

wont be as bad if you take her off once a week and clean the car. even in the winter and its so much easyer thanx to the new foam gun fettish. :D

i saw in halfords today that they do special protective clear films to go on your bonnets to stop chips was about £30 don't know if they work or not but it'd stop the chips without people thinking you got a tent stuck on the front of your car.
