if you ever think of gate crashing a jap car rolling road day in a vw DONT
i went to tegsport today withn a few mates who have scoobys for a SCOOBY rolling road road shootout
i was in me ickle polo
i was told i could run the polo at the end of the day to get a bhp reading
polo onto rollers =
strapped down VERY baddly
i was sat in beside the operator to tell him about the polo
i told him it was a 20 valve turbo engine from a audi TT 225hp with 6 speed gearbox( i got a blank look back then i told him it was super chipped and the boost comes on very fast he said yeah rite its a polo at that point i sort of gave up (cos i knew i was pissing into the wind)
he did the 1st run and as soon as it came onto boost he said the clutch was slipping and backed off i suggested it was spinning the rollers and he was having none of that ( ya clutch is fooked mate)
after a bit of adjustment he had another run = same result = ya clutch is fooked mate
at that point he gave up and gave me a bhp figure of 236bhp and 278 ft
( the rolling road area was stinking of burnt rubber )
needless to say i made a point of kicking every scoobys assss on the drive home and i still dont know what CLUTCH SLIP IS !!!!!
