newbie with probs

hi been on to individual forums cant seem to find what i need to know
was advised to ask here
just bought a 93 hatch cl but have a few minor probs
1st problem oil leak on timing belt side but underneath any known weakness down there (cleaned most of it off but cant see anything obvious)
2nd heater blowers only working on full speed
any help would be really appreciated,thanx

i think the heater problem means you have to change resister on the heater motor, i don't know how to fix it exactly but i'm sure i read it in GAZ's common problems guide on club polo, it is a common problem so i'm sure someone will help you out.

Oil leak can be from a number of points, you need to check the cam cover gasket, cam oil seal and head gasket.

You need a new resistor pack for the heater blower. It's located on the four pin plug under the plastic scuttle tray.

The fan problem is definitely an open circuit resistor, I had that problem. You can pick one up in the scrappy for next to nowt
