MSN messenger not working?

:x everytime i log on it says "signing on to msn messenger failed as the service is too busy, please try again later" it's been like it for 3 days now and is getting on my nerves...anyone else having or had this problem before?

I've had the problem in the past and I'm sure I'll see it again in the future, but at the moment everything is fine, has been for a good few weeks now!

I had that... what a pain in the backside...

Did you get a thing poping up saying a newer version is available & did you install it?
Could be that the new version is not compatible with your pc...

But anyways a less technical approach and how I fixed mine.... Uninstall ur current one & then just install it again...

:D cheers dudes, just uninstalled it and installed msn 7 and it's working now. i didn't even install the newest version either i asked it to remind me in 1 week, it never did and then stopped working all together

Mine keeps reminding me that a newer version is available - I'm on 7.5.

Uninstall/reinstall does the trick 99% of the time with something like Messenger though, top bombing :)

the service sometimes just goes down

google it and usually you can find pages with the msn service status on
