polo clutch 1.9tdi

has anyone had a clutch replaced on there car

mine has 40k on the clock and now it looks as if it has to be replaced.vw want 500 quid

still got 6 months warrenty left.

what can i do? will it be due to the remap or will it just be a worn out clutch.its slipping in 3 4 an 5th gear.

hi i have just had a new clutch replaced by vw! i had to pay 200 cause the gearbox went and got replced under warrenty and the clutch was slipping in 3rd gear! so they didnt charge me labour! but its the second one that has gone and its not my driving!

surely they should do it all on warrenty!? isnt that the whole point of a warrenty? they garentee to fix any problems within the first 3 years of the car

they say its not covered by the warrenty as its a perishable item i.e brakes, tyres, exhaust ect.
