nutshell: battery constantly drains in car. it's not the radio as i previously suspected as that's been swapped for an older model that can be physically turned off. so what is it?
MMM i have the same problem. Coincidentally the battery started to drain after i changed the head unit. I've removed the unit and run a multimeter across the wiring. Everything seems ok there. I also removed the demister switch as this had got a little warm at some point and died. The likgt for the heater controls has also given up in the last couple of days.... Cigarette lighter hasn't worked since i bought the car a couple of weeks ago, am wondering if that is shorted but i'd expect a fuse to go if that were the case. Local tyre place did a drop test on the battery on saturday and they say the battery is toast! New battery goes in tomorrow. As yet i'm not convinced that will be the end of the problem. Any ideas would be great!!!! Will post the results of the new battery installation when i know if it holds a charge.
