door lock freezin?

wit all these cold mornings my door locks keep freezing up
any way of stopping them form doin it

You can get lock deicer from halfords, spray sum of this in each lock and that should help prevent it if you do it the night before, or alternatively use it when they freeze.

i tend to just get a jug of hot water take it outside and hold the key in it for abit then try.
failing that i tip the water over the door-handle and around the lock itself :D
works everytime

lol nice solutions guys, abit on the expensive side considering it freezes about 30 days a year on average :lol:

Must say sorry guys but you must look so kool with a hot jug of water trying to get into your car!

Remote control locking isnt that expensive!

omg, i got remote central locking but when i tried getting into my car this morning the door wouldn't up so i got in through the passenger side.

after driving the car for a bit, and sticking the heating on full blast it opened!!

any ideas what happend as i read above and all you lot use the key to get in but mines remote central locking :?
