Got My Grille On Today!! BUT HELP!

Post by laura_fairy_22 »

Shes all looking spanky with her new grille on!
Will post pics up soon!

BUUUUUUT!
does anyone have any suggestions for the cut out in the bonnet where the VW badge was. I was sent a little black plastic thingy, but that looks naff & tacky cheap! was thinking of getting it sprayed when my car goes into the garage to be sprayed as a temp fix, but any other suggestions for the longer term... (preferably that doesnt cost a lot of money, or if it does i'll have to get it done at the same time the car goes into the garage for work, to keep costs down)

So ANY IDEAS! what have you lot done!!? any suggestions welcome!

The only long term solution is a little piece welded in there Laura, shouldn't cost too much I wouldn't have though.

yeah i'm getting that half moon bit welded over as it'll look much better than the cheap plastic bit.

hopefully won't cost too much.

Yeah I hate the little half moon on mk5's...!!

Ok now... dont hold me 100% on this & keep in mind these are london prices.... to fill it and colour code will cost £95 (a friend of a friend had it done)

Expensive business!

you would think it wouldn't cost much but i bet you will be paying over £150 + to have that it welded and painted on. Trust me nothing is cheap at bodyshops.
