Dash Display Problem?

Okay got a P reg Polo (dont know which Mk it is) but just recently you turn the ingition key and the car makes a weird kind of noise then the clock resets back to 0.00 and your trip resets also.. this doesnt happen every time just now and again in 2 weeks its done it twice, now i have also been noticing a problem with the fuel gauge its starting to act up.. reading at just under half a tank but yet takes £25 of fuel..
also when you turn the key it displays in 02 which i take it is the service warning..


any suggestions please..
