Sorry Phil but I don't see how?PhilGTi wrote:Me thinks some GTi drivers cant drive, no offence but my gti leaves VTR's and VTS's for dead at high speed.
Paxo VTS is 120bhp 935kg and 0-60 is 7.5sec
Polo Gti is 125bhp 1084kg and 0-60 is 8.4sec
Paxo is 128.3 bhp per Ton
Polo is 115.3 bhp per Ton
However the bright side is our GTi's are about twice the price of the same aged Saxo!

Hmm, parhaps the VTS's engine doesnt stay full BHP for long.. age = loses and saxos aint exactly quality. I duno how to explain... but i raced quite alot of them and never lost.
At the end of the day tho. I would rather have a 1.0L polo then any saxo...
- They look s**t
- They are made from s**t
- They fall to peices
- They loose value very fast
- They are driven by chavs
- They rattle inside
- The exterior bumpers are put on with wood screws
- The interior dash is made from the same material coke bottles are

The vts is really about performance, it may look sh*t and it may be made out of recycled coke cans but it is a fairly quick car and it handles quite well.
The clio 182 imo is a good car, the interior might creak like an old granny with arthiritos on a roller coaster, but the car is fooking quick!
Both the above cars imo are not as well built as my gti though

I hate the interior of the Paxo as well.

I agree on this one. I don't like s**t roen Paxo's however the VTS is a quick car. Polo GTi won't keep up with one.andrea wrote:Sorry Phil but I don't see how?PhilGTi wrote:Me thinks some GTi drivers cant drive, no offence but my gti leaves VTR's and VTS's for dead at high speed.

My friend has a 106 GTi it can comfortably pull away from me and I was trying my best to keep up.
His ran 141bhp with just under 50k on the clock, only mod was a stainless steel exhaust can't remember the make, mines ran 132bhp standard. If anything the VTS/Pug 106 engine is under rated at 120bhp, there was another 106 GTi that ran 139bhp. Factory in its weight thats 150bhp to the ton (the same as a mk5 Golf GTI)
They aren't built the best but its a very nice car to drive strong brakes, good feed back in the steering and sharper turn in than the Polo.

someone's a tool because they buy one of the best hot hatches ever made ? (clio 172/182)PhilGTi wrote:lol. I just hate these tools who buy cars like Clio 182's and Saxo VTS's, they dont understand anything about cars.
at the end of the day vw's are made to a better standard than most french cars but with the amount of problems that i (and most other people) have had with the gti's i'd have a helluva alot more fun in 182 and at worst it'd only break as much as the gti maybe less. I do love the look of my gti though especially lowered, but like others i'm just bored of it now

im in agreement with Phil, ive toasted a few VTS's that ive come across, its all down to the driver if you ask me.PhilGTi wrote:Me thinks some GTi drivers cant drive, no offence but my gti leaves VTR's and VTS's for dead at high speed.
Most people who claim to 'put there foot down' ONLY do so in a complete straight line. . which is lame really.
my car has done 2ltr motors in straight lines, some people just cant change gear quickly, simple as that.
For me, the main reason why ppl in bigger engine motors lose, is they just arnt willing to take any kind of risk on a bend, they slow right down like an old lady, but then give it large when its a complete straight road hahah
. . . i remember when my 1.3ltr Golf used to do XR2's and MK2 Golf 8v's round Romford town. . . ahhh the good ole days.
