Add me to your list, I've got a MK2 squareback. It is in immaculate condition and I love it!
However, its in the garage and declared SORN at the moment.
Its very slowly undergoing a full mechanical rebuild and upgrade. So far I've stripped/cleaned/overhauled/painted/fitted a GT rear axle, G40 front brakes, s/s braided brake hoses, Superflex/Powerflex suspension bushes, Gmax gas dampers and 60mm lowered Ventura springs. In other words, everything is new or uprated.
Wheels are 5 1/2" x 13" GT steels with hubcaps and 165/65 tyres.
Inside is all standard except for "S spec rev counter" clocks and a GT steering wheel.
I really must get round to rebuilding/modifying and fitting the GT engine and box though, then get it back on the road. Just need the money to do it!

Have you got me on your list??

These are some photo's taken a while back. It's not as clean as this at the moment. I need to get some more photo's done in the summer as I've made a few changes here and there since - Have got a 4 lamp grill on the front now instead of the old two lamp one and clear indicator covers on the front and sides, also clear 'lexus style' lights on the back.

Hope this works as I've never posted any pics before myself!!

Looks very nice in those pics, real tidy example.
What colour is it, grey? Quite unusual if it is. Did you remove the side bump strips or did it never have 'em?
I also rather like the late model wheel trims too.

Yeap, It is quite an unusual colour - have only seen one or two knocking around. It's VW Grey which I would describe as a sort of dolphin grey colour.

It never had the side bump strips - My previous Polo (a squareback Polo C) did have all the trims (including the bumper spoiler and 5 gears which I miss dearly!) but I had to sadly get rid of her as she started to get quite a few holes underneath (plus the red needed T-cutting more and more often to avoid fading!) Anyway, I just happened to glance in the local paper and found this bargain being advertised at a garage nearby for £295! They took £250 and it was a steal - no rust!!

The wheel trims were a bit of a nightmare and still are - I think my car has 13" trims but they are 14" - hence they wouldn't fit properly. They need cable ties to keep them on. Also, the valves don't line up with the holes so are hidden behind the trims. This means I have to keep cutting off the cable ties every few months to blow the tyres up! It's a pain but they look good!

G Man...that's a very tidy looking car...i remember the grey Foxes when they were new (how sad) I never liked the colour then, but it looks retro cool now.

Just a thought with the wheels...why not try and get some chrome rim embellishers (have a look at the pics of the Mk2 belonging to Jim1500)...they would definitely look good on your grey Fox!

Nice clean motor there dude!
There's one the same as that down the road from me! It was actually at the petrol pump next to mine on saturday! That's the only one I've ever seen.
The fox had no bump strips,no rear spoiler and had painted silver wheels with black hubcaps......sort of a starfish shape!
This is waht NornIron was talking bout with wheels

Hey guy's thanks for the compliments guy's, well she is sitting on her 13" steels at the moment because in that picture I have posted the rear arch is resting on the tyre. they are 14 x 6 wheels, I am currently getting new tyres as the one's pictured are 185/60/14 so I'm gonna get some 185/50's I might roll my arche's to be on the safe side.

she is lowered 40mm on the front and 60mm on the back I bought the kit for 170 from ebay - I througly recomend it!!

no rub strip on my car as standard.

I'm planning to respray her somtime in comet blue???

I was gonna refurb the wheels polish the lip and get the spokes in black with polished center's.

just a quick tiiiiiiiiiiimewarp because i think it's a class comment :D

(hell my mk3 was a spanish knockoff and it's still in damn fine nick whilst heading rapidly towards the age of consent - it'll be disappointing if an average german built mk2 (that has the major stress points eg fuel tank covered) can't outlast it all the same!)
