Lowered...

Post by PhilGTi »

OK so my polo now sits -85mm... looks great, i would say this is defo the perfect height!

However, man it rubs like f**k!! When turning, not sure whats up... maybe camber or somethings out.

Looks good, we need more pics though!

Can't wait to get my coilovers on, although i don't think i will be going that low,

Do you know where it is scrubbing / catching?

Looking 8) mate.

The rubbing/catching is your driveshafts mate. Happens when you lower it past a certain height, they atch on something but not too sure what. I've raised mine to about -75mm and its reduced the problem. Still catches tho occasionally.

Just been down to my local garage who do tracking and camber and they've told me they cant line my wheels up. Apparently, i need to remove my front bumper and splash panel under the engine!

Why can't anything be easy!

Mat

I think i'm in love lol  The car looks fantastic in that guise IMO.

I am after a 5 door red gti to replace the mk4 and was hoping to put 7x16 BBS RX on it !

Can I ask, were the arches flared before you fitted the RX's, or to accomodate them? I had assumed they would fit without arch work.

I got the arches done for my show wheels 15x8 schmidts which will change again soon as im getin them mirror polished, 16x7 bbs go under the arches just fine even with the 195/45 tyre!

So many people like the Bbs RX rim

Got it off german ebay...

£198 reduced from £360

Last set... the ride was a bit harsh yesterday but ive driven it loads now and its really settled nice. You can feel whats going on and all the bumps, but just thru feel... the car doesnt actually move alot anymore.

Over pot holes etc it absorbs very well.. feels similar to my dads 06 Sline audi but a tad harsher...

Money well spent even if not lowering.
