ever since i had my coilover fitted my car has made a knocking noise when going over bumps at the same speed i used to take the same bumps at with standard suspension. I usually slow right down for speed bump but there is still a knocking noise when the bump is hit, even at low speeds. this not only happens on speed bumps but in general driving if there is a dink in the road or something.
Basically all i want to know is should i be worried about this? and what it could be that is causing this knocking noise?
if its the 16v then its prolly the ARB hitting the chassis. try raising the car 10mm or summat or buy a sports roll bar for lowered cars FK sell them along with mounts.
Mines does this when turning corners at low speeds. Have been told that when you lower a car, it alters the position of the wishbones, and causes more pressure on the bushes! I'm just on my way down to the VW dealer to ask if they can confirm this!
