hey people, i was driving home from work today when i saw a mint jetta for sale in front of an elderly couple's house!
it was white, G reg and excellent condition for only 450 quid!
jus wondering wat these cars are like as im thinking of buying it, and where can i find more info on them? (pics, stats etc)
i duno wat engine it was but it had the black plastic arches
any ideas?

If so.. what's the mileage? And Mot etc

yes any1 is welcome to reply, ive just been 2 look at the car actually and it had full service history an a years ticket but i aint interested anymore as its only a 1.6
i had my fingers crossed for a 1.8 or a gti :P

Would probably make a good daily driver, wouldn't mind something like that myself. :)

u could always put a lovely vr6 in there!!!! my mum had a 1.3 jetta and it was underpowered for its size but the 1.6 would probably be ok!!

how much would an engine conversion like that cost? or even a gti conversion?

Like all VW's it depends on place of build, the German ones, like the Golfs, are very, very good. Swiss or Spanish build is another issue.

Best thing to do is make some enquiries, as every place will no doubt be different.

thousands usually, but as the vr6 engine is getting on a bit, they are getting cheaper!!
just gotta find a decent, unthrashed one!!
