Central Locking / Alarms (Weird Hey Presto)

Post by mysteryboy »

I don't know how many people know about this as its pretty old.
Anyways...

If you go out of range (within reason) so you cant turn you alarm on or central locking. Get the key and hold it on your head pointing to your brain and press it... an "Wallaaaa" it works.
Now try pressing it without pointing to your head & it dont work.

Weird huh?

lol

See Ya!

Did you see Clarkson do it ages ago on Top Gear then?

I did it the other day and confused a few people  Then an electrician that was there said it uses your head like an aerial :D

well your bonce is set up to be a pretty good resonator in parts - your ears and voice box in particular... can't quite see how that would work* for radiowaves (the wavelength is far too short) but a neat trick all the same

* at the same time as writing that I'm suddenly mindful of the amazing effect the proximity of a human body can have on your common or garden transistor radio ...
