Will a 'REVO' SPS plug-in mod do anything for my car...?

Post by liviococcia »

Hello Members
Does anyone know if one of those REVO 'SPS' plug-in units would work in my VW Polo 1.4E (petrol)Automatic, it's an 'X' reg (2001), as it's an auto, if it did work would it have any marked positive effects, and are there any possible negative effects to using one, epescially as it's an automatic tranmission, has anyone tried one on the same 'Polo' model.

Any experiences, any thoughts,.. would be great!

regards

Reading again through the REVO website, i now understand how the system works,......you need there software in your ECU (from what i can make out about £399), and then you can use there switching unit (SPS 1,2 or 3, another £150 to £200), but......

...this leads me to the question, are there single self-contained ECU re-programmers, which are plugable units that don't use any external software, that can give you different performance options for VW's, epecially Polo's of my year and type/

again, any idea's

thanks

I e-mailed a company call Torquing BHP about a REVO SPS plug in, for my GTi.

Unfortunately they isn't a REVO SPS available for the 2001 Polo. :(
But the company did offer a remap for the GTi. The REVO seems to be available only for turbo engined cars, newer models.

Hope this has helped :)
