Fuckin toe-rags have smashed...

Post by M@Turner »

my passenger door window!

Had just finished work at 9 and dropped my bag off before takin somet up to my mates. He lives about 3 mile away where quite a lot of retired or older people live. Pulled up outside his house and knocked on the door. He invited me in cause i haven't seen him for a week or so, so i locked my car but left my stereo in and my wallet in the din beneath. I thought, its a quiet road, i'm only gonna be a few minutes, it will be ok!

However, i chat to his mum and dad a few minutes so i end up been in the house 15 mins, but when i open my door i realise some f****r has smashed my passenger door window and glass is everywhere!
They had left my stereo tho and my wallet!

I can't believe it, right at the time where i'm saving all my cash for a holiday with my mates and i get layed with having to fork out however much for a bastard window!

WTF is up with people today.

Any ideas what i'd be best doing guys and girls! Fortunately i'm off work tomorow so i can sort it out! :?

Thanks for reading!

I know i'm very fortunate, its just so frustrating. If i found out who's done it, there life wouldn't be worth living! What i'd do to them would be horrific! Would make news headlines!

I haven't even learnt a lesson, cause i never ever leave my stereo in my car.............well apart from tonight where i left it for 15 minutes!

Feel like someone has just stamped on my heart, and then charged me for it! :(

I know how u feel this is what some w**k did to my old mk4 and they didnt even manage to do it right, the silly fecks tried to nick my grille.

Some how it didnt occur to them that you need to lift the bonnet, they must of got pissed off that they couldnt take it, so they bricked my window, kept finding glass for about month.....

How annoying, on the bright side at least they didn't take ur wallet etc

Some people have zero respect for other peoples stuff, most guys on this board look after their cars way better than the majority of the population. So when some degenerate chavs come and smash your sh1t up it makes it worse. I wish you had of caught the fecks and kicked their heads in, chances are you would have been the one who got in trouble though.

where abouts in sheff was it?

The glass smashed in exactly the same way as the picture shows, which Reeyad posted. As for the alarm, it didn't go off. :? I put my car up the drive though last night under the car port and sealed the window off with some plastic. This morning though, every gust of wind has set it off

Called my insurers this morning and its gonna cost £50 to get a new window fitted. Taking it down at 2.30!

AndyG: I live at the North of Sheffield. Car was parked on a quiet road where most people are old in the Grenoside area, however, Parson Cross which is re-known for having loads of scumbags, is only a stones throw away.

Well, i ain't goin out on the p*** this weekend!

Tell the Police, if involved, and your insurance that your wallet and CD player were concealed otherwise they may quibble about paying out.

Didn't bother ringing the Police as it was 10pm and they're the laziest police in the country, i'm sure! No rush in them what so ever. They wouldn't have done nowt either.

Haven't told them my stuff was on display, so there shouldn't be a problem. Fingers crossed anyway.

Cheers for all your reply's. Definately does help to share your anger, and get understanding comments from people who love their cars as much as i do!

Thanks again

What inder says about finding bits of glass, its a damn nightmare! I had the rear window smashed on my old Mini (nothing on show and nothing taken, just a dodgy area of town and late at night). Got most of the glass out, the Autoglass chap even lent a hand when he was in the process of replacing the screen, but there were still bits of glass hiding away in door pockets and seat runners when I sold the car over a year later! Feckers :(

I got the police out when it happened, but they couldn't do anything other than issue an incident number and tell me to call them if I had any more info. I'm gutted for you mate, if it happened to my Polo I'd be pretty pissed off too!
