Door trim (Speakers)

Post by AcidBoI »

I am thinking of fitting speakers in my polo 6n front doors, but when it was bought it had only the front facia mounted speakers as standard and so now I can't install them as I don't have any in the doors.

What I need to ask is if it is possible to replace the door trim panel where the speakers should fit with the original 6n (4 speaker standard) door trim panel? Is it a straight swap?

hmm, anyone did it?

I don't want to mess with the door trim to say the truth, what I thought was that I could just buy a new lower door trim where the speakers should fit and buy the frame where they should fit. But if it takes more things to do, I will just buy some good speakers for the facia in the dash, altough the result could not be the same as they are smaller... :?

I've done it.

Bought the "pockets" with space for the speakers, the grills, and then just wired it all up.

I have a DIY on it ( in portuguese). But if you are from Malta you should be able to understand portuguese. And the pictures are selfexplanatory.

Any questions pm me.
