I'd like a new mobile!!!
i've given the 2 fingers to my current contract as i felt i could save a bit of money by going back to pay as u go!! i wanted to keep the same number so orange sent me thru a sim card!!
trouble is i don't like my phone, as its well, crap tbh!
so i'm looking at shiny new pay as u go orange phones!
-firstly looked at the nokia 6111 slide phone but this has had a recall due to many faults occuring.
-secondly looking at the samsung e-530 flip phone
-thirdly looking at the nokia 6630 3G phone (i know its fairly oldish and quite sizable but it has a good spec list for not too much dough)
anyone had any of these or could recommend any others, i will be most grateful as i really need to change my phone in the next week or so!!

Dont really know what to recommend as im not in the know about phones as i used to be...
I tend to go for flip ones as they're flashy (in my eyes)
Smart phones - Full of features but BRICKS
Nokia 8800 if you can afford it....Good cam, lots of features + will hold its value (so wont lose much when it comes to selling)

I always recommend Nokias, but that's me, I always recommend VWs to people who ask me about cars!
That said, I'd get a Nokia 6233 (nice 3G phone, loaded with features).
If you don't want to spend a lot, Nokia 6101 (it's a flip phone, got a basic VGA camera, EDGE, 2 colour screens... it's pretty good and it's cheap!)

i've got a nokia 7610 and i'd highly recommend it (like a pda) although my phone is already outdated...my brother just got the nokia N70 with 2mp cam, 3G etc and he loves it, can record vids on his phone at the same kindof quality as his 5mp sony digicam does vids.
my phone is still better than most peoples and you could probably get one off ebay for a reasonable price now

i only got mine a couple months ago when my brother upgraded to an N70, got a 500mb memory card in there and it can hold about 1000 pics plus using some great software called smartmovie you can watch movies full screen sideways....i've got 2 whole movies, tons of clips, 1 simpsons ep, 10 family guys, 1 futurama and still got half the space free. only critism is that it's an early smart phone with no virus protection (neva had probs but it's open to it) and the camera could be better especially the vid cam.
this is a pic using the 1mp camera...

and this is the nightmode...

Not heard a great deal of good about how well the Razr works, to be honest. It's great for posing with and doesn't make a great dent in your pocket (after making a sizable one in your wallet), but seeing the amount of crap my unc had to put up with from it during a single 2 hour ride home (where the signal was consistently rubbish and it refused to recognise his in-pack motorola bluetooth headset at all, as just the highlights) has soured me on the idea of it - as much as trying to navigate it's baffling menus and control system did when i borrowed one off a mate just to make a quick call & send a couple texts when i had a dead battery.
Bling isn't everything, unless you don't mean to actually use it that is.
I like my simple Siemens jobbie (60-series). It's not the most hugely capable or show-offy phone in the world, but it's light, compact, has a good battery life and signal, loud speakerphone, has a nice design to it (blue/silver striping), bright clear screen, and does about everything I want of it. Camera could be a little better, and video calling would have been a fun addition, but i don't really miss those features.
Oh, and it can browse the REAL internet quite capably, and is rock solid both in software and hardware - it took a hefty impact to "kill" it last week (after 18 months of various bumps), and it did some kind of worrying Borg self-repair to spring back into life 48 hours later. Plus it wasn't too pricey!
