Have you got the self adjusting springs?

The ones i have are just a standard lowering kit.

i'm pretty clueless when it comes to suspension and prices etc!!

Yeah i've got coilovers. I think you'll be ok with your springs if there lowering the car 40 mill. You'll not have any major problems with rubbing
just maybe if you've got people in the back .

Coilovers actually reduce the length of the suspension itself with a screw thread, meaning you can lower the car to any mm, between say -20mm to -120mm, lowering springs have the same theory but cant be adjusted.

To be honest with you if your car is driving fine the way it is set up the now with the 17"s and 35 mill drop i would just leave it. When you lower it any more with 17" wheels the tyre starts to rub on your arch back and front wheels and it does get annoying after a while. I love having my 17"s with my car lowered right down but it does rub sometimes and you can't drive fast or have anyone at all in the back. I change my wheels to the standard gti 15"ones in the winter so i get a brake from the rubbing for 6 months. :D

Very nice pictures!!

So do you get any problems when it sits at about 80mm and what adjustments did you have to make if any??

Also what wheels are they ? :)
