yup too many cnuts around these days.
Thats why i've stopped taking my car to the likes of Donny South/Max power shows, too many thieves come from all over and look at what you have in your boot etc.
might aswell just give them your keys!

This dude used to have the same car as me at some shows i used to goto, and someone told me that hes been known to steel parts. Turns out he followed me home and took some peices off my car. Nothing expensive, but i could never prove it was him.

Another reason id never have expensive ice again!

Do things like that happen at VW shows/meets?
Not that I've ever seen. I lock my car regardless, if its on a display and I'm not nearby. Better to be safe than sorry as they say!

Same here not into expensive ice at all much rather have a good quality sound then boomin base not my style at all.

Ive been thinking of getting 1 of these text add on for alarms u link it up to certain functions of your alarm, i.e. glass sensors or shock sensor etc and it will text u if these functions go off.

Speaking to my Local VW mechnic he said they must have been after the xeon bulbs as he has know this to happen to a few VW with xeons, one was Silver Polo GTi.

All has been repaired now, still locked up in relatives drive until next week when I hopefully will get a clifford on it.

I dont believe the standard VW alarm is up to much.

I thought you had to be real careful removing them, I heard a story once of a BMW Technician blowing his hand off or near enough because he hadn't discharged the lights properly.

Been thinking of that too, however I hear it can cost upto a grand, not sure if this was a true statement.

I have also been told cars with tints are less likely to be broken into as tints will hold the glass in place.....
