changing over chrome VW badge to black badge on front grille

i just got the gti grille and black vw badge but how do i change it over i can see a screw in side it does this need to be taken out?

Just done a search as I knew I'd posted about this (here), but aaages ago :lol:

pop the grille out by using a flat-headed screwdriver or something similar to release the four clips:

Then taking the grille out and turning it over to look at the back, we see this:

By all accounts you just need to pop the two red-circled clips and bottom blue-circled clip out like we did with the grille, then use a bit of force to pop the top clip apart and release the badge!

I never got around to this and sold the black badges I had (over a year ago), but have now seen the light and have a black front and rear badge on my desk waiting to be fitted! :lol:

The clips are a bastard to get out on the back of the badge but it should only take 5 minutes tops 8)
