I'd have to say 'no'. The wiring is different from model to model, even within the Mk4 the wiring changes from 1998 onwards. This means that I can't fit the post 1997 dash without hacking up the wiring.

If you own a 1998 or later model, why not consider the Mk3.5 Golf dash - it looks like the Mk4 Golf model, but slots straight in, so I'm told. Haven't tried it, so no garantee there, but it could be easier than trying to make the 9N dash work.

That's not exactly an answer to your question... But still, hope it helps.

Er... Yeah. Should've made that more clearer. It's the Golf Cabrio, made from 2000 (?) onwards - the Mk4 look cabrio, in any case. AKA --> Mk3.5.

No, unfortunately I'm not sure - I'll check with a German electronics guru I know. Get back to you asap - must run!

The 6N2 dash and clocks could be fitted, altho fitting the clocks from the 6N2 into the 6N dashboard is a bit of a non starter I'd think, completely different size.

The wiring on the 6N2 and 6N is similar, there would be some things that wouldn't work but I had a 6N2 lighting up in my 6N when I was raiding it for LED's  think the oil light kept bleeping, and there was some faults showing, but nothing that a VAG-com couldn't sort out

As for the 9N as in the pic I haven't a clue what sort of set-up they have, electical connection wise, that goes for the 3.5 golf set up too. I know the old mk3 golf dash was similar to the pre98 polo dash, with similar connections, they were both front lit with bulbs though.
