m8 its a cheap looking piece of kit
you want the votex vw accessory kit,,, upgrades you to remote central locking, lilttle box of tricks that sits in line with the central locking pump, two keyfobs supplied, works with total closure functions, can be linked to blinkers so they flash on lock/unlock...

search for posts by me, ive got it fitted and its just what I needed

i can vouch for the company and the kit, i don't know if it will fit the mk5 but i don't see why it wouldn't....it comes with metal rods which you have to bend to suit your own car so they should work. i wrote a guide on how to install that kit into my mk2 in the diy guides section....obviously it won't help you on your car but i might give you an idea of what the kit consists of and work involved.

Yes bought from Vag-parts, I know the price is more, but its a quality bit of kit that will last and is plug and play, except splicing in the optional flasher connections, but this is simpleWeedle wrote:Is that votex kit from vag-parts ??
and as i already have central locking is that kit on ebay worth me buying will i have to replace the solenoids ? or can i just use the parts to attach it to whats already there ??
bit of a difference in price ya see
The ebay kit would require you to replace all the bits with the solenoids they supply etc... and do more wiring etc...
hehe nice one, let me know if you have problems installing itWeedle wrote:yeah im gonna go for the votex kit - its probably better - and another selling point should i ever get rid of my baby !
its a great piece of kit that has not failed me to date
yes come with instructions (plug and play though), operates all locks on the car. optional connection to your flashers too, so flashes once on unlock and twice on lockalexb wrote:does the votex one do your boot as well?
