Fitting 2005 Audi TT seats into Polo GTi

Post by PhilGTi »

Ive just got myself a full Audi TT 2005 leather interior, im now wondering how the hell to fit the front seats, im told they have the same subframes as the MK4 golf. Does anyone have any suggestions.

I take it they are not a direct fit... ive been told i can fit them with sparco sub frames. Has anyone fitted these seats or mk4 golf ones into any mk5 polos!

Thanks!

These seats but much better condition...

Ebay mate, got the front and rear seats, door cards and seat belts. Im a dab hand with a welder so may even just mod them for a mk5 polo then sell them on!

I really wanted red leather but couldnt stop myself buying these. The car had only done 500 miles!!! They still smell new!

Stick them in the Polo, don't sell them.

Sell your standard interior instead, imo Red is a bit garish.

Can't be too hard (he says) others have done it, like that picture you posted in another thread.

It's more individual that just getting a retrim.

Should look mint.

You could always re-trim the rear bench to match the new front seats? Top choice by the way, if they go in OK it'll look sweet 8)

Knowing me they will be fitted within hours of collecting them... im very impatient with mods, when i get my mind set on something it gets done. Only had my suspension for minutes.

He took it out the van, i signed for it on the drive, straight into the boot and i followed the ups guy out to garage to have it fitted. :D

You'll never fit them in a few hours! To be honest i cant see the rear bench being anywhere near the right shape to fit the back!!

Plus them subframes are going to have to be hacked about alot!

Im sure the only seats that fit direct into the polo is the mk3 golf stuff!!

iirc then the rear bench is waaaay too small for a polo, the best bet is to get the standard rear bench re-trimmed

I was only being sarcastic with the hours thing...

I found out that if you use sparco subframes they go in no problems but sit higher then normal. Not sure if i like the idea of that to be honest! Ill have a look when i get them.

I know 3 people with TT/mk4 golf seats fitted so it cant be too hard!

As for the rear bench, its 1.5" too short, so ill see what happens.

I think i might break away from the normal and hunt down the checked mk5 gti seats! everyone go's leather no-one tends to like cloth seats!

But i think cloth seats rock no sweaty mess in the summer and no coldness in the winter (unless the have built in bum warmers)
