Hi there
I had a service at AA auto centre and they told me I had a slight oil leak from sump gasket, as my car is still under VW used car warrenty they said I should take it there to be fixed.
VW are stating its not a warrenty item and that it will cost around £250 ... What they actually do for this money who knows
As a complete novice when it comes to engines, does anybody know if this is something i need to get fixed ASAP ? I would have thought an a leak would be causing some stainage on my driveway but I havent noticed anything ...
...the car drives fine apart from a squealing noise on accelartaion (long story but VW say they cant find a fault for this noise - Its completly normal they say - well to me it sounds like im driving a milk float on speed a real electric car golf buggy sound - and no its not he fan belt or tensioner )
Anyway back to the original post ... is this something I need to worry about right now? is it likely to develop? Is it a warrenty item (heres hoping) will it cause any symetoms i need to look out for whilst driving?

BTW the car is a 6N2 2001 1.4 cl Match 8v
