Is this for my car?

Post by what2097 »

I have a Y reg 6N2 1.4 16V.
I got a splitter yesterday from eBay.
I tried to fit it on today, and the clips seemed too big to go into the holes.
The model of it is '6N0 805 903 C'. I had a look around this forum and it seems that '6N0 805 903 E' is the model number for the GTi splitter for a 6N2.
Is this splitter for my car? It's not for a MK4 6N is it?

Thanks for that information.
I have mailed them asking for a refund. I'll ring up VW and see how much they charge for the correct one.

Here's the link of the item I bought by the way:

It's not the best of pics but the GTi one is that shape at the bottom (the two big bit's sticking out eitehr side)

Take a few pics of the one you have mate and we'll tell you by looking at it, may have the wrong number or something.

Yeah the part number was embossed on the splitter.
I went to VW yesterday to get the correct one.
They didn't have any in stock, but I paid £45 incl. VAT and they said come in on Thursday to pick it up.
I will be taking the incorrect splitter back to the people I bought it from tonight for a refund.
