3rd Brake Light

Righty I have searched and read all the posts i can actually find for some details on removing the third brake light - even tried the haynes manual


it says to prise them down and then out but the black palstic things dont seem to want to come out thru the hole !! - they seem to big any ideas/comments and suggestions will be greatky appreciated as its driving me f***ing nuts !!!! :evil:

yeah - i dont want to break them - but they dont seem small enough to actually pop out !!!

its driving me insane !!!

Any tips bran ?? anything ??

have you actually managed to get the damn things out ??

maybe this one would make an ideal DIY guide !!

yeah but the plastic is not coming out and with the screwdriver im using its just breaking (chipping) the plastic and i dont want to f*k it up !!

i will be sectioned soon - a dribbling mess, a shadow of my former self all because of a F***ing brake light :evil:

prize it up from the 2 little holes in the inside of the boot, itll come, it wont break

do you just want to take it out to fit the POLO decal, coz i got one and i didnt take it out! dont really need to.
just make sure its dry and clean and fit it while its still on car! they look great lol, polopowah is a legend for introducing us to them!!!

yeh i am but it does look a bit large for it !! so i want to take it out and make sure !!!

no i aint done it - i aint even come close to opening it.

i just thought tho, even if i do get it off, wont the casing be red or is it a clear white ?

Ive had enough - i just stuck it over the top anyway - its fine prob the best option to do just cleaned the light and stuck it on !!!

looks well good - just one air bubble tho :(

If you're careful enough, you can sometimes pop the bubble with a fine needle and smooth it out with your finger 8)
