Rite - i love washing my car - white cars when clean look amazing !!
But - i want to de-badge the rear of my MK5 the only problem is that its filthy in between the letters - where i cant reach with my cloth !!
Can anybody recommend some good products to use to bring it up sparkly !!
Also have a few bits of tar/road ?? that are stck near the wheel arch - any ideas on what stuff to use to get the marks off ?
Cheers all help is massively appreciated !!
Whats the best stuff to make a white car white again !!
Meguiars do loads of good stuff.
AutoGlym's Intensive Tar Remover is the best tar remover i have used (meguiars one is usless)
If your de-badgeing then get as much of the sticky tape from behind it as possible before attacking with a tar remover (which works well). I used a microfibre cloth to do mine.
As Spikey says give the area behind a polish a wax just for protection.

Don't use truck-wash (traffic film remover) as this will flatten the paint quickly and then you will probably have to polish and then wax the whole are that you have washed with it.
For the tar, use the A/G stuff as recomended and if the area is still rough afterwards, then use a Paint rubber/clay bar.
Likewise for the area where the badges were, once removed get all the sticky residue off, probably with tar remover if it works, and then polish the area where the badge was, again try a paint rubber as this might also help.
