Avin a lil problem with H.U? please help :)

got an alpine headunit, connected it all up, turn on power, it works fine, turn off power totally n it loses all my settings

how gay! emailed alpine n they said its sommit to do with permanent live feed, how would i do that? also saw somewhere about swapping the red and the yellow cables over? any suggestions to how to sort this damn annoyance would b much appreciated

swap the red and yellow yes, red is ignition and yellow is live, you dont really need red, if u want to run ur radio when ur car is off then you can use only yellow, however then you wil be tempted to use ur radio while your car is off....like me and drain your battery!!!
