Movin up in the world.

Post by Barney »

For the past 6months i've been savin for a new(er) car and i've decided to enter the world of rear wheel drive with a bmwe36, but i will be paying looooaaaads for insurance so i need to sell my mk4 , so this post is really tryin to find out what people would pay for it.

1997 R reg mk4 1.4
Purple (I think its called chegal blue or somethin)
3 door
nearly 31K miles
New clutch done at 30k(ish) at a reputable garage
Standard engine/drive/exhaust system
Unmarked 15" 5 spoke alloys with slight lip
Clear front indicators
Oil changed at 29k
Lowered approx 4cm , kit from GSF
New cam cover gasket
Almost perfect bodywork (Dinks from thick people who park too close)
No rust or rust bubbles

This was my first car so it has been loved and cherished , I'd be hoping for around £2,500 does this seem reasonable

it seems like a low miler and if it is a tidy example with service stamps and history etc id say its about right,,maybe a LITTLE less than £2500 if anything but its not miles out mate.Havnt seen you about in your mcar man.

Cost New ('97) £ 10085
Franchised Dealer £ 1775
Independent Dealer £ 1645
Private Good £ 1410
Private Poor £ 775
Part Exchange £ 1235

I would ask for a about £1,750 due to the low milage, but expect to get about £1,500... similar ones on autotrader with same spec and low milage this price!
