The bumpers (and grille) are the 1974 to 1978 model (as this car is), very desirable and indeed rare now. They can be made to fit the 1979 to 1981 models, although the front panel needs to be modified, along with another couple of smaller body mods.

I've seen it done, but I've yet to see a particularly successful looking conversion, as sourcing all the correct parts is both tedious and time consuming!

What do you need to do to lower your car?

how easy is it?

If I recall correctly, the guy who owned the car in the pics (he has sold it since) dropped it, put the alloys on and the german plates, then polished it and went to shows...the paint, chrome and interior was all original.

If you do want to convert your bumpers, budget for £100-£150 each for the bumpers, £10-£15 each for the four endcaps, £12 each for the four bumper brackets, plus assorted bolts and screws.

As for the grille, not only do you need to try and find someone willing to sell one, but you also need a grille badge, bonnet trim, bottom trim, wing trim x 2 (best find someone who breeds rocking horses  ) and assorted obsolete trim clips and fittings...

Thats a superb example.
If the paint and trim ARE original, then it really is one in a million car.

Yep, one in a million just about covers it

It used to belong to a really nice bloke called Gareth (OSV on a lot of the forums), him and his mate put a lot of time and effort into what was already a bloody good example. Was fully waxoyl'd underneath just before it was sold.

Lowered 70mm at the front, 60mm at the back iirc

Now belongs to a lad called Oli down on the south coast. Last I heard he was thinking of sticking a G40 or 1400 16v engine in it...
