eyup lads !!

Post by pitchy »

ive just joined and well impressed with all this info on here , just about to start a steady project on a 92 red genesis ive recently picked up n this site is the bible for polo moddin lol !!

anyway eyup lads , nice rides u all got !
ive gone back to my roots , my very first car was a 83 saloon when i was 17 , i sprayed her ford matisse met blue with mk1 golf gti alloys and straight through exhaust and complimentry cherry bomb haha ...
here i am again after 22 inbetween including bmws gt4s and even a r33 skyline ... neway just had my beautiful daughter and now her indoors dont want no expensive boys toys so im planin to do some nice subtle mods to my mint little coupe .

1st on will be arch and sill trims ( when i find some )

spotted some well-ard rims at r & a design , theyre 8 x 15 steelies with 195 45s stretched over em , will these be ok ? i want to go as low as i can ie. -70mm ? will this give me too much hassle on th arches ?

maybe flushing the boot , possibly remove d/handles if i can afford an alarm ????

light window tint

and my main project is gona be finding a 1.3gt engine to strip and rebuild to race spec ! im a cnc machinist by day so i was thinkin of makin con rods , maybe pistons , knife edging the crank , lightening the flywheel , flowing the head , and bike carbs !

and now breath haha!

well any help would be a bonus , and if any 1 wants anything making that i may be able to help with give me a shout and ill c what i can do ..
cheers lads . pitchy .

yeh as above, with the 15s you could prob only go about 40mm without probs.

there are a few GT engines for sale at the mo i think, either on here or on
clubpolo.

welcome 2 the forum tho mate! :D

Welcome to the forum matey. Good to see another derbyshire dubber on here 8)

If you're looking for mk3 gt bits,i've got pretty much all of the bits you're after! Have a low-ish mileage engine/box etc etc

As for steel wheels you have a few different options....

13" Wellers (have crazy offsets though  )
13" Mattigs (hard to find-i've just got some off german ebay)
14" Mk2 Golf Steel Wheels (easy to find!)
15" Mk2 Golf G60 Steel Wheels (can be found on ebay/vw forums or bought new from vw still)
