i was driving to work duren the snow, there was about 3 quarters of a full road available, half on my side a quarter on the opposite side! so this arse in a transit thinks its a good idea to drive 30mph, wen the conditions were more like 3mph, anyway he hit the snow drift head on, his tailend swung out and hit me! cracked bumper, f*cked wing, HUGE scratches on the whole side of my car!

i have a plan tho....i told the insurance i would keep the car, i'll get the bumper and wing replaced (should pick up 2nd hand parts easy) and get a full re-spray, all the wee dings elsewhere taken out and the wee bit of rust sorted with the cheque i'll be gettin for my car! then i'll "un-write" it off and im back on the road...

also found out that the car doesnt have to go through an extensive MOT (which i thought it did), when i un-write it off, for this type of write off write off (cat C) just a chassis and engine check to see if the numbers match then its back on the road!

fully re-sprayed dent free and back on track for summer! just a pain in the a*se tho......oh well :)

yeah but its my insurers who have to contact his insurers, then they "fight" it out to make sure they're driver ownes up to everythin (which he did, thankfully) then they need to wait for the assesors report on the damage, cost of damage etc. then my insurers decided it would be hilarious to write of my car! its pure balls! insurance only covers something like 70% of the cars value, so say the cars worth £1000 they'll only pay out for damage worth £700, if its more, its a cat C write off! and they send u a cheque for £900 (£1000-10%-salvage cost!) Grrrr!
add to that them pissen me about as to whether it is actually written off! :x
