Which alloys for my GTI???

Post by sparky_gti »

I'm thinking of changing my BBS 15" split rims on my GTI as the outer rim is getting badly corroded  !! I was thinking about changing to OZ alloys. Either OZ Superlegger's or Superturismo's.

Heres a pic of the Superturismo

And one of the Superlegger

Just wondering which ones to go for, or if anyone has any good sugestions of any others to go for? Do you think i could get away with staying with 15", or would i need to jump up to 16", i didnt really want to change size if i can as i got a good set of eagle F1's on it. So what you recon?

Yeah i have tryed to get them done in my local area, but no one seems to want to touch splitrims! I have herd of a place called Fatwheels, apparntly they do them, got any idea of how much they cost to get refurbed?

Cheers Spark.

They vary really, some places may charge £45 a wheel right up to £100 per wheel.

I'm sure someone on here used Fat Wheels, but I can't for the life of me think who.

I love the new generation of OZ Super Ts but I'm not certain that they would suit the Polo. A photochop of the wheels onto a Polo GTi would be good, to see how they look. Shame that BBS don't do the RX2 splitties with a good old deep dish outer rim really :?

Superleggers would look best, but if I did upgrade I'd get the same style as the original BBS but bigger. OZ Super T's look amazing on a Fiesta Zetec-S
