polo and gti badges

Post by Polo_Gio »

Hi all,

I'm considering takin the letters from polo and gti to make up GIO to stick on my polo somewhere. First off whats u's think about that? I think its pretty different.

Surely not chavvy as its not a 16v or any daft decals - should blend in with polo badge. And its not gonna be spaced out under the rear badge like i have seen on some corsa's........very chavvy.

Second of all where else could i put it .....on the rear obv but where........opp side of polo so its balanced or below the right hand rear light.?? am open to decisions

Lastly how to i reattach them? is double sided tape good enuf???

i think you can reattach them with those sticky pads which are used to stick number plates on, they may make the letters stick out a bit tho :?

Buy the two decals new - then they will come with the correct thin sticky layer for you to stick them on secure with :P

I'd put it where it usually has the engine size.

I don't think 'GIO' has been done before - iceypolo has got 'POLOW' on his bootlid I think!

I agree with MM, place the letters on the right-hand-side of the bootlid where the model designation (eg. GTI, TDI, 1.4) would normally be. Looks OEM then 8)

If your name is Giorgio then 8) 8) 8) 8)

Had a photoshop of GIORGIO made up to see what it would look like as a keyring made up of VW lettering. Looked super gay.

My full name is Giovanni. Perhaps you could post up this picture so we can see it. If it is indeed "super gay" well at least i can say i havent wasted money on it and even if i do it its an easy thing to remove.

you could use double sided tape....but it doesnt stick to well if you dont cut it properly, you have to cut it EXACT to the shape of the lettters then it will work wonders
