Give me a rough value please

Post by Polo Paul »

Hi guys, as much as i love my Polo's i ahve realised that i am now a SEAT man at heart and want to get back into another Ibiza very soon, so that means the Polo will have to go. What kinda of price do you think i would get for this?

*VW Polo 1.4CL 5door
*1996 N
*Hell Blau Metallic paint
*63,000 Miles - Backed up by MOT certs, TAX discs, SH
*FSH - File of history and receipts for last 7 years also
*3 Owners - My mum and Me last two
*Interior is immaculate
*JVC CD player
*Usual CL toys - leccy windows, leccy mirrors, PAS, tilt steering, height adjustable front seats, central locking
*Finance clear
*4 good firestone fuel savers and recent brakes
*MOT - Jan 2007
*TAX - june

Bad points - there are some on every car i am just being honest

*Drivers side rear arch rusty
*Airbag module not working (not due to crash) - new one on ebay around £20
*Cambelt hasnt been changed yet because the mechanic said it was fine (£80 to fit a new one)

I was thinking around £650

Any ideas?

Cheers

Im not sure what they're worth these days tbh. Also depends where you live. £650 sounds too cheap to me tho...

Car seems to be good, but if i went to look at a car and it had a problem with the airbag (no matter how small or cheap it may be to fix) i know it would put me off.

If you changed the cambelt and sorted the airbag then id say £1500 if not more?? Its definately worth more than £650 IMO.

I understand where your coming from, the airbags been dead for years about 4 now.

My thinking when i bought it was dont crash! And i began to doubt their uses when the Leon that totalled my last car airbags didnt go off.

I might get it swapped over if one pops up, but i am thinking of being rid of the car in the next two months so someone can have a bargain for me.

is it a fault with the airbag or a fault with a sensor? i'm sure my boyf has an airbag for a mark 4, it hasn't been in a car for about 3 years but there was no problem with it when it was taken out. i'll have to see where he's hidden it tho

If it would suit my steering wheel i would be interested, have a think on a price if you find it and PM me. Thankyou

b.t.w its the explosive charge that deploys the bag that has failed.
