Well, kinda.
My automatic choke is jammed open (on a pierburg 1B3) making general running beyond terrible lol.
Whats the best thing i can do with it, get it fixed? fit a manual choke kit? or take the plunge and get a weber?
Cheers.

If you've got a 32tl waiting to be fitted, do it. Doesn't take long at all, it's more or less a direct swap. There is a small hole drilled in the bulkhead designed to take a choke cable, it'll have a rubber bung in it. I don't have a picture, but you'll find it, it's near the carb Then there's already a space in the dashboard for the choke control, below the steering wheel to the left there's a blanking panel, it's held in with a screw from the back. Remove it and you've got a space to mount the control. Then all you have to do is connect the two coolant pipes that used to go to your auto choke together with the bit of tubing that should be provided with the carb, and swap the carbs over. Easy as pie Make sure you have the right jets for it though, I can dig out the sizes and where to buy them if you need.
OK, cheers. I'll have a closer look at the weber when i get a chance and see what jets it has, also i'll consult my haynes carb manual to see cross reference the jets but if you could dig out the sizes aswell just in case that would be great. (1043cc HZ/33kw engine)
In the meantime i'll see what the garage say about the 1B3 cos i might jsut get them to give it a full overhawl
Cheers, again.

you might be able to buy a service kit for that carb from www.webercarbs.co.uk Ive bought a load of bits for my weber 32/34 DMTL from there. Ive ended up having ro re-jet a 1600 carb for use on a 1300. He had everything I needed.
