Iv recently got hold of some silver handles and nw there finally here, just woundering how i switch the locks over

2000 mark 5, iv got the point of removing the locking barrel - but now the haynes manual says get vw to do it basically

Did this already, on a Mk4 though. Fitted rear door handles from a 4 door onto mine, thus de-locking the car. All it took was to undo the bolt just inside the door and lever the old handle out. Replacement was the exact opposite. 5 minutes per side. shweet!
