1/4 mile times in your polo gti????

went to big bang two weeks ago and my best time in my standard gti

was 16.3 i had about 8-10 runs.

whats your times? standard or not!

I managed a 16.01 or 16.1 (can't remember what one) the car was standard, I was running F1s I recon with the Michelin Pilots which were better off the mark you could get into the high 15s I'v seen a silver one run 15.8-9s that had the suspension done this would help it off the line as the back won't slam down when you take off compared to the standard suspension.

well my plans are, coilovers k&n panel filter, full exhaust system,
remap.

so not to sure what times it will run then!

it wont be loads faster but hope to add a few bhp!

best time i got (recorded) is a 15.9sec 1/4 mile over the line at 89 mph!

i managed to get a 15.6 but it said i jumped the start so i got a 'no run'.

this was also only a wek after i only got 124bhp on the rollers!

those times were at crail?

yeah, but for every other car i was up against it seems really believable!

all my other runs were in the low - mid 16's

since then i fitted an induction kit, FSE power boost valve and used super unleaded, the last rollin road showed 143bhp at the engine but it was corrected to DIN figure of 138.5bhp!
and iv beaten a few other polo gti's so its not like my polo was slow!

i wish i had the chance to put my car on the strip again but its away to its new owner so i cant

what kind of 60ft times were you getting?

Break into the 1 seconds at all?

I was supprised with Ryan's GTI. I think the earlier ones have a bit more power about them and could easily run a low 16 1/4. Most I have seen appear to sun closer to low 17's and they have all been newer models (X Reg onwards)
