Lupo 6-speed box in a polo?

Post by frazzle »

Has anyone put a lupo 6 speed in a Polo? If my gearbox needs replaced I was wondering if it may be better to put the newer, better designed 6 speed in. Just wondered if more technically minded and experienced had any thoughts?

heard it's not a straightforward fit, the box in a Lupo is shorter from memory

would be a tasty gear box to have though, would love that 6th gear on long motorway journeys.

I heard it's difficult too. Don't know about cost. A grand? Much less, much more?
