gearbox (again)

can anybody do me a favour and lift their gear gaiter out of the way and check their gear stick for me on a 97/98 polo 1.4cl does it look anything like this? or can anybody tell me if this is a rod or cable I know it should be a rod but i dont think mine is.

most polo 6n's are rod box's unless modded easyest way for you to find out is get under your car and look in the centre tunnel where the exhaust runs and above the rear 'box mount is the shifter lever, which i would beleive to be rod.

your actually looking at the rod mate, cable changes come right up to the stick and you can see the cable. Its a rod change
