Polo GTI- Amazing!!
I went to VW to order some parts this afternoon, and saw the Polo GTI outside their showroom. So I went in and ask for a test drive. I had the car for 45mins on my own. I test drove the car properly and even did some hand brake turns! It was really really good handling and performance. I have to say it is far far better handling then the 6N2 Polo GTI. Massive improvement! Maybe it is better then the mk4 Golf GTi as well.
It has really change my mind of considering buying the 6N2 Polo GTI. However, I am not sure about their on the road price! It would costs me at least £17500 for brand new, because I would go every options on the list. Well, for this price of VW, I could go for the second hand 05 plate mk5 Golf GTI. I really don't see the point for paying this much of money for a Polo GTI. Anyway, I have to say if someone who is loaded and want to spend some money. Then this is the toy to have on their drive!

Kind regards, S.

I have attached some photos of the car as well........

Wow. I still think the Golf looks crap in Red but it is the exact opposite with the Polo for some reason. Take the standard Mk6/7 interior, spice it up a little bit with silver and add GTI trimmings/extras, and it looks almost perfect inside

Mmmmmm. I like that a lot. 8)

Crazy money though to get spec you want. I'd be after Xenons, cruise, heated seats on mine.

Could never justify that price.

I still don't think it looks as nice as the 6N2 GTi, and I'm not being biased even though I own one (6N2 that is).

I think the 6n2 and 9n1 are the nicest polos looks wise, the new polo looks too much like a golf where as the 9n1 and 6n2 polo are more individual.

I still don't think the new GTI looks as good as the old one, I think it's a car that will look better in the flesh it doesn't really do it for me in the pictures

I have driven the new polo gti at my local dealership and i was rather disappointed, it handles like an MPV and does not have enough grunt to justify the price. The ride is appaling, it is very firm and the dampness is poor, compared to the mark 5 golf gti which everybody is calling the polos brother, the polo is of a very poor standard.

I love the looks also and the interior is nice but i could never see myself buying one when it is priced closely to the golf gti and it costs the same as a mark 4 r32 or 225 coupe tt

The 6N2 looks more of a baby Mk4 Golf than the 9N3 looks like a baby Mk5 Golf

does it :? the polo looks nothing like it, the headlights/grill/bumper and overall shape of the cars look nothing alike

where as the 9n3 and mk5 golf have the same style headlights/grill/bumper even the alloys are the same just smaller
