vynil/plastic cover on dooor/window pilar

just wondered if any one knows if you can get hold of the plastic trim that goes on the side of the doors (up the side of the windows?) cos mine aint got em, And i want em!!

Do you mean spray mounted? My first impression of 'sprayed on' was that it was painted on. :lol: :oops:

I wouldnt dream of fitting some to a car that doesnt have them though, I imagine it would be an absolute nightmare! What model mk3 have you got?

on my blue polo i've put a new door on meaning i need to fit the vynal back on to the new door! doh!

i no that the boulevard ones are obslete now which is a pain! :roll:

i beleive the phrase is "as rare as rocking-horse poo". it's some kind of odd vinyl thing - i stripped it off my old passenger side door in the hope of mounting it to the replacement, and it peeled away like the heat-shrink insulation on electrical cable - instantly ruined and no way you can re-mount it. fraid you might be a bit stuck unless you put out a "want it now" on ebay and someone running a New Old Stock store happens to be alerted by it when listing some.
