What induction kit for my 6n2 polo.

Post by joeallen12 »

Hey guys. I own a 2001 1.4 8v 6n2 polo with scorpion backbox and k&n induction kit. I am beginning to find that the k&n induction kit is way too chavy loud. I need to find an induction kit that is more subtle but still gives slight power gains.

Can any one suggest a good induction kit for my polo?

I have heard the BMC CDA induction kit is good???

the bmc cda looks the best, sounds the best and gives the best power gains... but costs the most

the BMC CDA is round about £130, seems the best option.

i also have the same setupa s you with the k&n filter a bmc would be nice i get the impression they are pretty much universal to anycar!

or there is the K&N Apollo CIS!

or the green twister!

and of course the BMC CDA

all come in at somewhere between 100 and 200 pound!

good investment! but i have other things i want first!

not sure how much the P&P is but you can actually pick up a BMC for the 1.4 8v from venom motorsport for approx £120

the open one like the k&n in your sig is going to take in loads of warm air and probably reduce power

sounds good though!

but ur right its sat right on top of the engineand the one cold air feed isnt really enough i ahve thought of fabricating a heat seils round it with a hole in for the cold air feed effectively creating a tunneal of cold air all round the filter!

does anybody know whether the bmc on venom motorsport comes with the balck pipe included so the two breathers can be attached!?

from the BMC website itself mate, believe me, im very interested in that 90 degree angle pipe with the ancilliaries for the breathers as well, if i can just get my hands on it, i can pretty much put on any induction kit that i like...

My K&N 57i sounds fine on my car, then again mine is a pony 1 litre.
i think its just right because if you want that extra bit of noise you just put the foot to the floor
