its a 1.1, the wheels will be changed when i have money but i thought they dont look too bad, just want them changed for the fact of having something different to previous owner lol, im installing a total custom sound system, same as the polo, tints, front lights will be crystal, debadged grill, smoothed wiper (they left that out when they smoothed everything else i.e indicators, badges) leather re-trim, and possibley some panels resprayed because they dont seem to want to shine like others lol

** edit ** its a scorpian exhaust system from manifold and also im planning on black and silver plates next week  i beleve they are legal on my car due to its age 1983 correct me if i am wrong

Didn't realize they fitted 1.1 units into golfs

How is it speed-wise?

yeh its a VERYVERYVERY rare find, i was looking for one before the polo but just couldnt find one...thats why i settled for next best: my polo, but now i found this one im so happy, its quite nippy as its lighter than the polo, but i cant really tell and im pretty sure that once the clutch is fixed there will be ALOT more power to the wheels! also the breather needs replacing as its blocked and oil is coming out the air filter  i got so scaired when i saw this but then i calmed down and though and read about it, its in the garage now...CANT wait to drive it as soon as i get it back

Very nice find there :) Although I'd second the comment that you should change the wheels, they're a bit 'barry' for my liking ;)
Btw, a car needs to have been built before 1st January 1973 for black/silver plates to be legal.. but that doesn't seem to stop many people

I'll sell you my MK1 for £1,200

26,444 genuine miles original engine, just had a full set of brand new brakes fitted on the front (backs have been checked and are absolutely fine)

been garaged for 25 of the 26 years, full service & history, 2 owners including myself. Mark 1 1980 Polo L 895cc.

The clutch and gear system is in mint condition, any mechanic will tell you how good the engine is, its in "as new condition" :D - had regular cleans with proper shampoo, interior and exterior.

All original interior in Mint condition, have installed Sony Headunit + £800 Sound system, have replacement parcel shelf and interior side panels and door cards (to replace to make original).

Has had new oil filter, tracking redone recently.

:)

hi mate, can you email me some pics to: [email protected]

yeah i think i read about you getting the car off your neighbour so i know its got good history.

would you consider seeling it without the audio? im after a totally original example. i know you have the original shelf and thats cool but would you knock the price down for not including the audio?

cheers mate

email me or pm me if you want
