I'm a newbie!

Post by Vickie »

Hey guys,

Just brought myself a Polo L yesterday as a run around as I am about to start a resto on my '76 beetle which is my daily at the mo!

Image

No pictures as yet - but she is a mint green metallic M reg mk4 but a 1.3?! I didn't realise VW made this engine for the polo... :?:

Obviously I will be spending most of my cash on the bug but would like to get a few subtle mods for the Polo - including clear indicators. Anyone know a good place to get my hands on some or is ebay my best option?!

Cheers - cool forums by the way! :D

Hey guys - thanks for the welcome and the replies - I will defo have a look!

As for the bug, she needs work doing like the shocks, welding etc as well as cosmetic stuff - so it's pretty much full on! :D

Couldn't find the pics of the mint green polo though :(

Hi Vickie, welcome to the forum.
Yes, VW did make a 1.3 for the Mk4 polo, albeit only for the first year or so of production before it was replaced by the 1.4. There's a few of us on here with 1.3 mk4's.

Ahh - that would explain it then - nice to know I'm in good company here then :) !

Been on e-bay this morning and brought clear front and side indicators - plus chrome bulbs to go in them.

Just looking for some good back lights now :D

Found the mk4 green thread in the end - what a coooooool polo!

to be honest i doubt you'd notice a massive difference moving up to a 1.4/1.3
