Fitting a bigger bmc

Post by Demo_202 »

Got the chance to buy a BMC CDA on tuesday, however I think its the 1.6 and over version. My Engines a 1.4 8v, and I presumed it would be fine as its just more air which i didnt think would be bad.

However someone mentioned that it might cause the engine to run lean?

Thoughts and Oppinions please!

I have a bmc cda from a 6n2 1.6 gti on my 6n 1.4 16v, and it runs fine (roars!!) I think they are just done on below 1600, 1600-1800, 1800-2.0, and 2.0 plus (around those figures anyway.) It should be fine mate, and should sound nice too :P
